We’re getting towards the end of October so you know what that means, Halloween jams galore! The Gully Trails down in Winston Salem, North Carolina are throwing their annual one on Saturday, October 28th. Check out the action from last year’s jam below if you need a little persuasion as to why you should make it a point to go!
Chicago’s Garden Dirt Jumps have been ripping as of late and they’re going take advantage of that with a Halloween Jam on October 28th. They’ll be giving out a prize for best costume, so come up with something good and hope the weather holds out for another week and a half! Keep up with weather and other updates via The Garden’s Instagram.
Unfortunately rain put the brakes on Posh’s last attempt at having a high air comp this year. They’re going to give it another go on Saturday, October 21st, so everybody keep your fingers crossed that the weather cooperates this time around! Up for grabs is some cash and a trophy that JBone handcrafted himself. Bring your A pull up game because the height pole has an extra three feet on it this year!
The Friday the 13th weekend is looking to be a busy one filled with all sorts of stuff to get into. The annual Halloween Jams at Catty and Posh will be going on in PA, and down south in Richmond, Virginia FBM has a full weekend of activities planned. Starting on the night of Friday the 13th there will be a party at Wonderland with live bands. Saturday they’re having a vintage bike show and bring your own ramp jam at Powers Bike Shop that will feature the Ghetto King of Vert high air/best trick contest judged by none other…
For all of you who didn’t get enough roasting in last month before the rain came and put a damper on the last Heathens’ Jam, come on back out for a rebate on September 30th!
The Catty Crew have decided to run the annual Halloween Jam a little earlier this year (October 14th) in the hopes of having some better weather. You’ll definitely appreciate this if you were at last year’s jam getting blown all over by the wind. They’ll be holding the traditional “Fast As Hell” contest and what I’m most looking forward to, the 2nd annual Swantz Trick Jump Contest. Bring yourself $5 to donate to the woods and cross your fingers that the weather/season holds out!
Bikes, beer, bands, contest, and this year two very special guest. The L.E.S. Trail’s Řáholec Jam is always pretty spectacular, but for this tenth running of it Garrett Ginch and Eric Hennessey will be there bringing the stoke level up to unimaginable new heights! This definitely will be one that you won’t want to miss, that is if you can figure out a way to get yourself and your bike to the Czech Republic on September 1st and 2nd. Video from last year’s jam after the jump!
We’ll that is if the rain ever stops, and at this rate I don’t have much hope of that happening. Nonetheless, keep Sunday, September 3rd open just in case the weather decides it wants to cooperate and let the Pre-Labor Day Posh Jam happen. There will be a high air contest on the Butcher Jump and the winner will be taking home some cash and a one-off custom trophy made by Jay Bone himself. Get stoked and do an anti-rain dance or something!
With so many jams coming up all around the world, let’s just hope the weather sorts itself out and all this crazy rain stops. If you happen to find yourself in the UK on the 28th of this month, definitely make it a point not to miss the Fulwood Trails Jam! Have a look at their 2016 wrap up video after the jump if you need any convincing.
Ladies, mark the last day of September and first day of October down on your calendars because Catty and Posh have joined forces to host Women’s Weekend In The Woods. I was stoked on how many ladies were shredding at Catty’s 4th of July Jam! I can’t wait to see how many more an official women’s jam brings out!
