Our friends over at Merritt just got in a whole slew of new products that they’ve been working on. We’ll be taking a closer look at them over the next few weeks, and getting things rolling is Chris Childs’ new signature sprocket. The black with the polished face gives it an old school look that I most definitely approve of. This isn’t one of those wafer thin sprockets from back then that would bend if you looked at it too hard; it’s made from 7075 aluminum and features a CNC’d five spoke design with 1/8″ teeth. It’s available now in shops and mail orders in 25t, 28t, and 30t sizes and comes with flush mount adaptors to fit 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm (15/16″) spindles. You know if this thing can hold up to the beating that Chris Childs puts it through on the regular, it will hold up to those unexpected yet inevitable sprocket cases.
