Not sure who’s in charge of keep track of what Halloween Jam they’re on down there at 9th Street, considering last year’s was the 69th annual and the year before that was the 777th. Who ever it is may what to lay off the Tecate for a while! Anyway, Saturday, October 28th is this year’s event filled jam. If you plan on going then I highly encourage you to come out this Saturday (10/21) and help them get the trails prepped and ready for the jam!
Totally missed this one when it came out back in June, but here it is now! Outside Magazine had Cam McCaul catch up with Chase Hawk for a session at Austin’s legendary 9th Street Trails. It made me laugh a bit that Cam was caught off guard by just how many BMX pros live in Austin.
Always stoked when one of our local dudes puts together an edit! I haven’t gotten to ride with Drew as much as I’d like to, but he’s absolutely killing it every time I do!
Empire BMX is continuing their support for their local spot, Austin’s legendary 9th Street Trails by selling these rad stickers. They measure 1.75″ tall by 4″ wide and cost $2 a piece. Pick yourself up a few and you’ll be helping to keep 9th Street going strong since all of the profits from the sales go straight to their fund for tools, maintenance and events. Grab ’em HERE, and pick up a 9th Street shirt while you’re at it!
With stylish riding and a positive attitude like this, I’d say that young Tallon Pemberton has a bright future ahead of him in BMX! 02:16 if you want to get straight to where he shreds 9th Street.
On Saturday, February 18th 9th Street is holding a pump track race with the goal of getting younger kids stoked on the trails. It’s open to kids 12 and under, so if you’re in the Austin area and know any youngsters, pass the info on to them or their parents. Spotted on Mutiny
There’s a community dig day going down at the 9th Street Trails this coming Sunday, (1/29). If you’re going to be anywhere near Austin this weekend, please consider being there to help throw some shovels and get the place dialed in. News and James Stevens’ pic of Roey lifted from our friends at Mutiny. Hit the jump for the flyer with all the info!
