Now, who didn’t see this coming? Matty is now officially flying the flag for Relic, and we get the benefit of a rippin’ two minute edit to celebrate the occasion. Safe to say that this is a win-win for everybody! Spotted on DIG
We’re stoked to have Relic BMX joining the expanding list of products that we have available in the CYDI Store. I’ve personally been a huge fan of the brand since its inception and couldn’t be happier to be carrying their stuff. Right now we have their U.S. made Void bars, Choice railed seat and Chad Osburn’s signature Eon stem. You can expect us to have a lot more from them next year when they get their next product drop. For now though, head over to the STORE and check out what we got, and if you need a refresher on just what Relic is all about, you can revisit the interview we did with Ash about the brand HERE. Oh, and let’s not forget this Relic edit from last year below. I can’t wait for the next one now that Cody Diggs is apart of the crew!
It’s always a good day when some fresh footy from Eastside surfaces! This raw edit comes from the clips John Donald filmed with his phone while he and the NW crew were down there this past February.
Though I haven’t had time to give it another watch since I posted it last Friday, this Relic edit has been on my mind all week. I love what Relic has done so far and this edit just reconfirmed that there are a lot more good things to come from Ash’s take on what a BMX brand should be.
Relic just got the weekend fired up right and proper with this shit! Stoked on that little tribute to the OG Crawfish Master, Satoski Enda that Clint fires off at 02:18!
Our friend Brian Barnhart has a rad collection of photos that he shot while back home on the East Coast that you can check out over on DIG. Don’t really need any more of a description than that! Get on over to the DIG site and peep them!
Call me jaded, but having lived through the mid to late 2000s era of every schmo who had ever swung a leg over a twenty inch starting a BMX company, I generally don’t get too excited when I hear about a new brand being launched. There have been a few exceptions though, and hearing that UK legend Ashley Charles was starting his own brand was one of them. It’s been a little over a year and a half since Ash launched Relic BMX, and in that time their line has slowly and thoughtfully grown to include two stems, a sprocket, bars, a railed (yes railed!) seat and post, and a collection of softgoods. Their products have a classic aesthetic to them that I personally find to be quite appealing. When it was announced earlier this summer that Clint Reynolds would be riding for Relic, I knew I had to shoot some questions over to Ash to find out more about how the brand came to be and where it was heading…
Here’s one that I didn’t see coming, but thinking about it, it makes perfect sense. Clint is now flying the flag for Relic! Seeing as things have been quiet with Clint’s previous parts sponsor (Tree) for some time now, I was thinking that it would be just a matter of time before someone swooped him up. Relic is a perfect fit if you ask me, and apparently Ashley Charles feels the same. You can check out what he had to say after the jump, and after you get done watching this quick welcome video!
Relic is expanding their product line with a new set of handlebars dubbed the “Void Bars.” These S&M made bars feature an 8.8″ rise, 29″ width, 12 degrees of backsweep and 2 degrees of upsweep. Ashley Charles is running the samples in the picture above, and you can expect production versions to be available in about a month!
Ashley Charles isn’t exactly a name I immediately associate with riding trails, but this Savakas promo proves that he can get down in the dirt.
