Last weekend over 30 ladies representing four different countries descended on the Leigh Valley for the first ever Catty and Posh Women’s Weekend in the Woods. Shout out to Taryn Hipp for putting the whole thing together! It’s absolutely awesome to see so many ladies coming together to ride trails. Hopefully this becomes a yearly thing!
Lots of stuff for you to get into this weekend if you’re here in The States. On the East Coast (Pennsylvania to be more specific) there’s the Heathens Fall Jam on Saturday, and the Women’s Weekend in the Woods at Catty and Posh on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t fret if you’re on the West Coast though! River Roast 2017 is looking like it’s going to be kicking a lot of ass on Saturday at Milestone MX Park in Riverside, California. No matter where you end up this weekend, have fun, make some new friends and enjoy the ride. Full flyers…
Hopefully you already locked down some shirts and hats from the Catty & Posh Store, but if not you still have a little more time. Emphasis on “little” because midnight tonight (Tuesday, 9/19) is the cut off to get your orders in. Remember, the proceeds from these go towards helping pay for the trail’s insurance, so help them out and pick up some merch HERE!
You know it’s going to be a good day when you wake up to find that S&M has put the full length Credence “Feel My Chest Muscles I’m A Trail Builder” DVD online! Now you just need to find yourself somewhere at work where you can hideout for 30 minutes so you can watch it.
The Catty Crew have decided to run the annual Halloween Jam a little earlier this year (October 14th) in the hopes of having some better weather. You’ll definitely appreciate this if you were at last year’s jam getting blown all over by the wind. They’ll be holding the traditional “Fast As Hell” contest and what I’m most looking forward to, the 2nd annual Swantz Trick Jump Contest. Bring yourself $5 to donate to the woods and cross your fingers that the weather/season holds out!
Janis threw this edit together from the chill jam they had a few weeks ago at Catty during the solar eclipse. Also worth mentioning is the freshened up PAWOODS website that you can check out HERE.
Always stoked when one of our local dudes puts together an edit! I haven’t gotten to ride with Drew as much as I’d like to, but he’s absolutely killing it every time I do!
Catty and Posh have a new online store set up with some sweet products to help raise money to support the trails. In case you didn’t already know, they have a pretty steep insurance bill that has to be paid every year to keep both sets of trails going. Help them knock that bill down by grabbing yourself a t-shirt, long sleeve or trucker hat from their store HERE!
Ladies, mark the last day of September and first day of October down on your calendars because Catty and Posh have joined forces to host Women’s Weekend In The Woods. I was stoked on how many ladies were shredding at Catty’s 4th of July Jam! I can’t wait to see how many more an official women’s jam brings out!
Just in case this weekend’s weather has got you down, here’s a little pick-me-up courtesy of the fine folks at Back Bone!
