The local crew sure did get around this year! Wish I could say the same, but oh well. Drew Ortega managed to condense almost a whole season of trails, traveling and good times from multiple states and spots down into this 16 minute edit. Considering this was kind of a shitty year weather-wise, I’m interested to see just how much more these dudes get around next season. Of course that’s assuming the weather cooperates a bit more.
The 2nd annual Swantz Trick Jump Contest was definitely one of the highlights of this year’s Catty Halloween Jam. It was like someone packed up an early 90s dirt jump comp, stuck it in a time machine and sent it to 2017. Shit was completely fucking loose! I didn’t think anyone had even filmed it, but leave it to Chris Bird to come through with some documentation as to just how awesome this was.
Chris Bird is back with another one of his all-encompassing POV edits! This time he had a little help from Brandon Grim and Fiftyfoe to make it happen. If you’ve never ridden Catty and want to know what it’s like, here you go!
Chris Bird takes on Clipper’s “Nasty Line” at Catty and hilarity ensues! Seriously, this might be the funniest shit I’ve ever posted on here!
Chris Bird’s Contour camera is still working after all these years, and more amazingly, after all those crashes! If you’ve never been to Posh and wondered what it’s really like, you’re in luck because he pretty much gives you a first hand tour of all of the running lines in this video.
Chris Bird headed down to good ol’ Austin, Texas a couple of weeks ago to join up with Justin Kimmel, Brandon “Pucker” Grimm, Denny Ward, and Joe Orsini who were already down there on A trailcation. Together they hit up damn near every set of trails in and around the greater Austin area, and Chris had his Contour* running for their stops at 9th Street and Eastside. And yes, that means you get a POV view of his crazy ass Speedball crash!
I’m psyched to see so many of my good buds shredding a trio of NC trails in this video that Jon Pfundstein put together (hopefully I waited long enough to post one of his videos this time)! LOL at Brandon Grimm trying to get into the record books for the world’s fastest Vander Roll at the beginning of this!
Here’s yet another edit that came to be because someone got hurt on a trip. A crash at the Shotgun Trails forced Chris Bird to trade his bike for a camera for the remainder of the North Carolina trip that he was on with Brandon Grimm, Justin Kimmel and Ryan Yazzie. Bad for him, but good for us because we get a six minute NC trails edit due to his misfortune. Don’t worry about Chris though! He’s getting his cast off this week and will be back to shredding this weekend.
Chris Bird coming though with the most comprehensive TRA Double Cross edit to date. There was so much that went down that I had forgotten about until watching this. Still, my favorite moment of the event was Jeremy Ball not even getting his front wheel over the second jump and still managing to come back for the win. Too good!
What would a POV video from Chris Bird be without at least one hilarious crash?!
