Chris Childs keeps it 100% trails in this promo for his signature Sunday EX complete bike!
Our friends over at Merritt just got in a whole slew of new products that they’ve been working on. We’ll be taking a closer look at them over the next few weeks, and getting things rolling is Chris Childs’ new signature sprocket. The black with the polished face gives it an old school look that I most definitely approve of. This isn’t one of those wafer thin sprockets from back then that would bend if you looked at it too hard; it’s made from 7075 aluminum and features a CNC’d five spoke design with 1/8″ teeth. It’s available now in…

You can pick them up now from your favorite Sunday dealer. You can also download this wallpaper version of their print ad right HERE.
Fuck! Round 2 of FBM‘s Brawlin’ at the Belmar was an absolute shit show! I remember being there and thinking to myself that someone was going to seriously die. I think they got hit with a bunch of rain just a few days before the contest and it wreaked absolute havoc on the lip. Nothing like hitting a giant jump with a soft spot right in the middle of the lip. I’m pretty sure only like three kids in the am class actually cleared the damn thing. They wised up and slapped a sheet of plywood over it for the…
Chris Childs posted on his Instagram that he got an invitation to X Games dirt in Austin. This was exciting enough but then I noticed that Doyle and Corey Bohan were also on the list. Looks like I’ll actually watch the X Games this year. I need to somehow get up on that judging panel!
In the almost ten years that I’ve known Mike Brennan I’ve seen him go from a relatively unknown rider from New Jersey who landed tailwhips with one foot on the top tube (sorry Mike I had to!) to being a full on BMX pro. Sponsors, traveling, video parts, the whole nine yards. Over that time Mike has continued to grow as both a rider and a person and has added a wife and kids into that mix as well. He’s also put in some considerable work on the business side of the BMX industry, first with Animal Bikes and now…
If you somehow missed it earlier this week!
Mike Farnham fired off some shots during the Texas Toast dirt festivities and as promised here they are in a nice gallery form. Hit the jump button to open up the gallery and make sure you put that sucker in fullscreen!
I’ve seen, been to, and even entered a pretty good number of dirt contest in my day, but I have to say that this year’s contest at Texas Toast was by far the best! You could feel the energy in the air, and almost every rider had a huge smile on their face during their runs. With all the rain that they got beforehand it was an absolute miracle that the contest even happened. Hats off to Clint, Matty, Will, and the rest of the dudes who built the course and managed to salvage it from the deluge of rain….
