Today is the day that one of my favorite sections from The Back Bone Video makes it online! As a matter of fact, going back to when I first heard they were going to do a video, Chris Harti’s part was the section that I was most anticipating. Needless to say that I wasn’t let down!
Back Bone’s 2011 Trailmix is one of my favorite trails edits of all time and just what I needed to rewatch to help boost the ol’ spirits during this cold snap we currently have going on here in the North East!
I used to really enjoy watching Josh Stead ride at contest. Even though he did all the big flippy and whippy circus tricks, he had the style to balance them out. Not sure what he’s up to these days, but hopefully he’s still riding and maybe we’ll see some new footage of him soon.
James Fox’s edit from the Valley View Trails Jam most def deserves a bump back up to the top!
Any footage from the Valley View Trails is a treat, but this jam edit that James Fox put together is hands down my favorite to come from my buddy Will and his brother Chris’ place! Mother Nature may not have wanted this jam to happen but even she couldn’t win out over the will power of this many trail dudes gathered in one place. Enjoy!
I don’t even care that there’s only about a minute of trails footage in this Cosmic Rumble edit! There could have been none and I would have still been stoked to watch Dylan Lewis and Jett Man crushing concrete parks along the way to the A.C.T. Jam! If you do feel compelled to skip through that, 04:44 is where you’ll find the trails session with Chris Harti, Raine Turnbull and Angus Samson.
For the fourth time riders from all over Australia came together to remember the legendary Dane Searls. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been four years. Dane had such a lasting impact on BMX that it seems like just yesterday that we were all still in awe over Giant’s of Dirt. Even with the wind not 100% cooperating at this year’s jam, everyone still had a blast celebrating the life and legacy of one of the baddest dudes to ever pick up a bike.
Just because this is “extra” footage doesn’t mean that it didn’t deserve to be in The Back Bone Video in the first place. I don’t even know how some of this didn’t make the cut! Only two copies of the video left in the STORE. Who wants them?
Well what do you know, the Back Bone boys had some extra clips left over that didn’t make it into the video! Just like the video, it’s a mix of everything, but a good bit of the footage is from the trails. And speaking of the video, there are a few copies sitting here on my desk that are looking for homes. Head over to the STORE and snatch up a copy before someone else does and they’re all gone!
Full length BMX DVD releases are becoming fewer and farther between with each passing year, and those with trails in them have become rarer than hen’s teeth. The trails community collectively popped a boner when Back Bone announced that they were going to be releasing a full length DVD. Anyone that knows anything about Back Bone knows that Rhysty and the crew are all about trails. Sure they have a few street guys on their team, but they also have the most impressive roster of Australian trail riders that has ever been assembled. After three years of accumulating footage, Back…
