What a pleasure it was to wake up this morning and the first thing that I see is that the crown jewel of The Backbone Video is finally online. Watch it, get stoked, tell your boss you can’t make it in today, and then go lay some tracks down somewhere!
There’s quite a few places on my bucket list that I hope to make it to day, and my buddy Will and his brother Chris’ spot in Young, Australia is up towards to top! I can’t even believe this edit from 2020 is already four years old.
James Fox’s edit from the Valley View Trails Jam most def deserves a bump back up to the top!
Any footage from the Valley View Trails is a treat, but this jam edit that James Fox put together is hands down my favorite to come from my buddy Will and his brother Chris’ place! Mother Nature may not have wanted this jam to happen but even she couldn’t win out over the will power of this many trail dudes gathered in one place. Enjoy!
A couple of things here. First off, apparently Fuel TV lives on in Australia. Hope it doesn’t go all UFC like it did for us here in the States. Second, this contest gets crazier every year! The jumps don’t look as groomed as they have in the past but that didn’t stop people from going absolutely nuts. I am glad that there were some trail dudes like Chris Harti and Chris Kerr out there representing for the non-foam pit derived side of dirt jumping.
I was beginning to wonder when the video of Stowaway‘s day at the Kerr’s (both Will and Chris’) trails was going to show up. See Will I learned! Sorry inside joke! Anyway I’ve been anxiously waiting for this ever since seeing the flipbook Stowaway dropped a couple weeks ago. It was WELL worth the wait! I’ve said it before and I’m sure you’ll hear me say it again. Ryan Lloyd has the best 360s in BMX hands down!
The Kerr’s trails are on the list of places that I one day hope to visit. I’m really not sure when that will actually happen, but hopefully someday it will! The Stowaway crew recently made a trip out there, and as luck would have it the wind was minimal, food and beers were in abundance, and good times were had by all. 2020 was there to document the action and they put it into the nice little flipbook above.
This one’s for my buddy Will down in Australia!
Chris and Will Kerr’s trails have been popping up a lot lately. I’m really not surprised considering how much fun they look! 2020 BMX Magazine recently did an article on the spot titled “Young At Heart.” I haven’t seen it, but I’m sure it would be worth checking out if you can get your hands on a copy of the mag. If that’s not an option, then you can check out the photo gallery by Raine Turnbull from the article HERE.
Chris Kerr teamed up with Sam Walton to film this video of Chris flowing through his amazing backyard. I’m proud of myself for resisting the urge to make a 2 girls 1 cup joke!
