The Trail Rider of the Year category for NORA Cup will always be near and dear to my heart, and something that puts a smile on my face. A smile not only because I’m stoked that the category now exist, but also because it makes me laugh thinking back to the conference call I was on in order to make it happen. I’ll just say this, we were dangerously close to being lumped into the Transition Rider of the Year category! Having to explain how someone like these fine gentlemen nominated for the award this year differ from let’s say…
Ride’s witty “Feeble Talk” title for these extended video interviews doesn’t quite work when you have a dirt guy like Nasty Dawg as a guest, but oh well. Being completely honest with you, I haven’t even watched this yet. Seeing as an hour interview would take a huge chunk out of an already busy day, I’m going to save it for tonight when things settle down a bit. It’s Nastazio though, so I can 100% guarantee this is going to be the most entertaining one these that Ride has done or will do!
Only in Nasty’s yard would something like this happen! I can’t help but laugh that this video has 637,000 views. Take note kids, all you have to do to is throw some boobies into your video and you’re guaranteed that it will get ten to twenty times as many views as any other trails edit!
I’m playing a bit of catch up with these Hangin with Lavs today! Before it’s Nathan’s turn to get grilled by TJ, they along with Anthony Napolitan give Nasty some shit over the phone about his ridiculously oversized wallet that he somehow forgot in Vegas. I really wish they had picked the thing apart to figure out what all that crap was in there. How many store loyalty cards can one person have!?
Here’s the section from the Vans Illustrated video that I’ve been waiting for to be online; Hucker, Nasty, TJ Ellis and Pat Casey taking it old school and throwing down on one single big jump! Seeing as Fuzzy set the whole thing up, it’s only fitting that he got to sneak one of his signature moves into the session!
Cory Nastazio and Tyler Trueman picked the absolute best time of year to pay the East Coast a visit for a trails trip. With the exception of a couple rainy days, the weather couldn’t have been any more perfect and the trails couldn’t have been any more dialed. Now that they’ve gotten a good taste of some Northeast soil, let’s hope that they make an annual tradition out of this trip!
Vans just dropped this bonus section from their recent full length Illustrated video. Sit back and take in the story of how the always entertaining Cory Nastazio got into this little thing called BMX.
Looks like we have Rockstar to thank for this split edit of Cory (Blacker than John Lee) Nastazio and my Eskimo Brother TJ Ellis getting it in at Cory’s place and FOD.
I’m psyched to see that the Ride boys switched things up and headed out to Wetlands to film this edit. Lots of heavy hitters in here, but I think the star is the epic (and I try not to use that word) dirt spine they have going on out there. Christ man! I’ve seen a few attempts at dirt spines over the years but never one that actually worked as well as the one in here.
Posting this Sebastian Smith edit because we don’t get to see Cory Nastazio’s trails all that much. That said, it’s a little too heavy on the contest tricks and slo-mo for my taste, but you might enjoy it. Someone needs to drop a few sheets of ply off to Cory before someone dies on that roll-in!
