I love reporting news that isn’t about a set of trails getting plowed! This is actually the complete opposite, as it’s the news about the rebirth of Brazil’s legendary Continental Trails. As you may remember, a couple years back the locals lost their long battle with the city to keep the trails. While they were eventually able to reach an agreement, it came several months after the trails had been torn down. Seeing this as an opportunity for a fresh start, they set about completely rebuilding the place better than it was before. I’ve admiringly been watching the progress via…
I can’t even put into words how jazzed I am over this picture that showed up on Dan Clifford’s Instagram yesterday! Last summer after the locals had seemingly come to an agreement with the city to let the trails stay, the Continental Trails in São Paulo Brazil were razed without warning. The trails were a historic and humungous part of the scene down there, and as a mater of fact, they were what led me to discover the rich trail culture that exist in Brazil. It’s been just about nine months since they were plowed, and miraculously the locals have…
If you’re going to turn another year older then it may as well be in Brazil at the Continental Trails!
When I first started CYDI I didn’t know all that much about the trail scene down in Brazil. The only thing I knew was that there were indeed trails down there. At some point I stumbled across the Continental Trails, and I’ve been fascinated by them every since. They were smack dab in the middle of an urban environment and it seemed like they had a peaceful coexistence with their surroundings. One of the biggest things that stood out was the camaraderie between the locals. Smiles and good times have dominated every video that I’ve ever seen from the place….
Is it just me or do we always seem to get edits from the Continental Trails in pairs? We just had THIS one from Dan Clifford just yesterday, and now here’s another one already. I am by no means complaining!
Well speak of the devil! Dan’s already clocking footy down in Brazil!
My buddy Dan has a very cool interview up on his company’s website where he talks about building trails and how it crosses over with his day to day work. It’s a damn fine read and I don’t think anyone could have articulated what we do as well as he did. Check it out!
Dan Clifford once again coming through with a chill edit of some North East goodness!
Joey had a bunch of left over footage from her trip to NY, and rather than let it go to waste she put together another edit!
Joey Gough had her Drift camera rolling for a good bit during her trip to NY. Last week she put out an edit from the trip, but here’s some leftover unedited POV footage that she captured from Boons, Keyko, and Dutch.
