Zachary Kring’s latest edit starts off with some park stuff but then goes all trails at the 01:40 mark with some of the last footage filmed at the Omni Trails before their destruction. It finishes off in the woods of the ATL with him absolutely destroying the place. It took me a second to figure out what was going on in the last clip, but upon closer inspection I realized that he’s taking a run on an early 2000’s Haro complete. Making it through a section on one of those 40lb beast definitely warrants that kind of crowd reaction!
For some reason the Omni Trails popped into my head just the other day. I realized that I hadn’t seen anything from them in quite a long time, and that lead me to wonder whether they were still going. Last night the answer to that showed up in my Instagram feed and it unfortunately it wasn’t the answer I was hoping for. I can’t believe that we are just a little over a month into 2016 and we’ve already lost two sets of trails. Let’s hope this isn’t a trend that continues. Here are some words about Omni from local…
I’ve seen plenty of videos from the Omni Trails but I really didn’t realize all the twisting lines they had until I watched this POV!
It’s been a rough year for the Omni Trails. They’ve been trying to have a jam all summer but mother nature has had other plans. It looks like things are finally drying out and they are going to try to have their jam sometime in October. I’ve got my fingers crossed for them! Who else instantly thought Shutterspeed as soon as the music started?!
Oh man the crashes at the beginning of this had me dying! The flip to balls lodged firmly between the tire and seat stay brace especially tickled the ol’ funny bone!
