I’ve been seeing sections from Shawn “Elf” Walters’ “Dollar Bet” DVD getting posted up in various places over the last few days. I’d be lying if I said that I knew anything about the DVD, but since it was from the SLC area, I was holding out hope that there possibly could be some trails in it. That hope turned into reality when DIG posted this Tanner Trails section from the DVD this morning. It has a classic feel to it that is a nice departure from the super polished ultra mega 69K stuff we’ve grown accustomed to seeing these…
Now that Matt Priest is all healed up and riding better than ever, I fully hope/expect to see a lot more of this from him next season! Via Villa Road and DIG.
First off, it’s so good to see that Matt Priest is back to shredding as hard as ever after being off the bike so long with a severely broken ankle! This video that Andrew Thomson put together for DIG and Villa Road shows his journey from being told that he may never ride again, to getting back out to Woodyard and riding like nothing ever happened.
I knew DIG’s new Alumni series was going to be good, but this first episode on Thomas Hooper blew my expectations out of the water! They really couldn’t have chosen a better subject to start things off with. Thomas came from the early UK trails scene and is legendary both in our little world of BMX and in the world that he has made a career out of, tattooing. This piece tells the story of how those worlds are connected and how Thomas continues to draw inspiration from his BMX roots.
I’ve had Mutiny and DIG’s “Villij Days” edit on constant repeat ever since it came out a week ago!
If you watch one thing today make sure it’s this! Any footage that comes from Villij is guaranteed to be a treat, and this edit that Tom Cambridge produced for Mutiny and DIG is no different. With not only Robbo in it, but Matt Roe and Dylan Lewis as well, it’s without a doubt my favorite Villij edit to date!
Our friend Brian Barnhart has a rad collection of photos that he shot while back home on the East Coast that you can check out over on DIG. Don’t really need any more of a description than that! Get on over to the DIG site and peep them!
And the majority of those 90 seconds are Tyson ripping the shit out of the HVT Trails! The rest is of him airing way too high out of some deep bowls, so it’s not too shabby either. Via DIG
Word on the street is that our friends over at DIG have a La Source Jam video in the works. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty damn anxious to see it, but for now we’ll all just have to make do with this 16 second tease of the jam that I found floating around Vimeo.
This video from the Standard Crew’s trip from Iowa to Colorado is mostly park and street, BUT we do get around 40 seconds of dirt footage from two Colorado bike parks. Jump to the 01:17 mark to get right into it and watch Joey Cordova steez that whip!
