With 2015 fast coming to a close, Elliot Van Orman decided to go ahead and put together a compilation reel of the best clips from the projects he’s worked on this past year. That’s good news for us since pretty much all of those projects involved trails!
You are absolutely blowing it if you haven’t already watched Elliot Van Orman’s new film, “A Washington Summer” by now! Even if you have, it’s definitely worth another watch!
I was off the grid in the Shenandoah Valley yesterday so I’m a bit late to the party with posting this! Elliot Van Orman headed up to Washington last summer to visit his brother and spend some time checking out the scene up there. He documented the entire trip, and the result is this fifteen minute trails filled video. I love Elliot’s work because he does an amazing job of not only capturing the riding, but also the vibe around it.
It’s always a treat when Elliot Van Orman comes out a new edit! Here’s what he put together from the annual Pinke’s Trail Jam that went down in Michigan back in July. Glenn “Pinke” Skowronek sure does have a damn good thing going on up there! I definitely think a road trip is in order for next year’s jam.
It’s pretty much a guarantee that when Elliot Van Orman puts out a new film it’s going to be epic. Notice I said film and not edit or video, cause that’s what this is. An eleven minute look into the sessions that routinely go down at the Ball Compound. You’re going to enjoy this one for sure but let me prepare you now for Jeremy’s squeaky brakes! Now I’m not one to advocate riding brakeless, but if I had to ride with him on a daily basis his brakes would definitely come up missing. Roadhouse!
Elliot Van Orman was a busy man last year! Here’s a look back on the projects he worked on, and wouldn’t you know it a good number of them were trails related.
For the last couple of weeks Elliot has been posting on Instagram that he had a new project in the works. It finally dropped today, and it’s eight and a half minutes of shredding up at the Ball Compound. Too good!
Here’s the latest film by Elliot Van Orman that’s a look into all aspects of the Detroit BMX scene. There’s a bit of every kind of riding in here and of course that includes a good bit of trails! I do have to say that the no brakes kick out skiddy thing to slow down that the dude does at 00:52 makes me want to punch a baby in the face. Cause that looks soooooo much better than having brakes to slow down, or better yet charging into that rail like a man.
Elliot Van Orman did an incredible job of capturing the good times/vibes of the DIY scene down at Brush Park.
I’m psyched that these dudes built a little set of trails right in the heart of downtown Detroit! I tried to do something like that here but the construction of a new set of condos shut down the way you started. The slide roll in is particularly rad!
