We’re headed off to Jersey to check out the supercross race so I’m leaving you with Elliot Woodhouse’s 30 minute UK trails masterpiece for the day. Give it another watch and then go build something rad this weekend!
Do yourself a favor and round up some friends, grab some beers and then figure out a way to watch this on your tv, because this 30 minute UK trails edit from Elliot Woodhouse deserves to be watched on the big screen and in good company! This is seriously like a who’s who and where’s where of UK trails awesomeness!
Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and got a lot done on yesterday’s “day of service.” My contribution to society was digging out a filthy clay pit and moving its contents to a much nicer location. Now that we’re back to the regular grind, I’m psyched to get the site rolling this week with some rad footage from Wisley, Blackwoods, Epsom and Leatherhead. One of these days I’m going to follow these guy’s lead and set off on a UK trails trip of my own!
Here’s a damn good start to the morning! I know absolutely nothing about Loose Cannons other than the fact that it’s sixteen and a half minutes of thirteen year old Epsom Trails footage. My guess is that it was a local video that never made it across the pond. Whatever the case, it’s an awesome look back at the early years of a legendary spot.
I saw this bouncing around Facebook yesterday and decided right then and there that it would be this week’s flashback post. I can’t even believe it’s been a whole two years since it came out! I’m still holding out hope that a part 2 will eventually materialize!
I don’t think there’s a single person who visits this site that will argue with the fact that Deluxe won the internet this week. I’ve always been really stoked on what the brand is about, and I’m glad to see the ethos that Mark Noble created still lives on in Deluxe’s current ownership. For this week’s flashback I wanted to revisit the early days of the brand, more specifically their first full length video release, 2010’s “Welcome to Deluxe”!
What better way to start off the week than with eight minutes of Brockham, Leatherhead, and Epsom?! I had totally forgotten that there was supposed to be another part to the first UkTrailsTrip2k15 video that came out last month. As good as that one was, this one takes the cake for me!
Llorret Trails local Benito Garrido has only been riding trails for a year and he’s already going on trips like this! Spot’s like Brockham, Wisley, Epsom, Blackwoods, and Leatherhead didn’t exist when I was only a year into the trails game, but I’m 110% sure I wouldn’t have had anywhere near the required ability to ride them had they been.
Not flashing back too far here, but Ross Head’s Volt BMX edit came out a year or so before CYDI was around.
I love waking up and finding stuff like this in my inbox. Epsom is very high on the list of places that I want to visit one day. It looks like an absolute blast to ride and the crew of guys out there keeping the place rolling are legendary. 2014 may have started off a bit rough for them but they powered through and got the trails dialed back in and running as smooth as ever.
