I’ve got a few things I’ve been meaning to bump back up to the top, so expect to see them resurfacing over the course of the weekend. I’m going to start things off with this edit that our man Jake Dyke put together from the footage he shot with his iPhone at The Battle of Gillies Creek while testing out a Moondog Labs Anamorphic Lens Adaptor.
Our man Jake Dyke whipped up this little iPhone edit from the footage he shot at The Battle of Gillies Creek while testing out the new Moondog Labs Anamorphic Lens Adaptor. Richie Sakai was kind enough sing a few bars for the intro, and of course we had to throw in a star wipe for good measure because, “why eat hamburger when you can have steak?“
Sometime I’d say around 2001 or 2002 I found myself at some relatively new trails somewhere outside St. Louis, Missouri. The crew of dudes running them were on the younger side, and if my memory serves me right they called themselves the Water Lilies. You see, the different little riding cliques that made up the scene around St. Louis back then all had names. I’m not sure just why this crew was called the Water Lilies, but that’s neither here nor there. What is important is that was the first time I ever met Garrett Guilliams. It’s been rad watching…
Here’s a quickie of FBM’s Garrett Guilliams and Eric Holladay getting a run in at Catty this past Sunday. I’m stealing that Tecate shirt from Eric next time I see him!
Garrett rips off some absolutely banging one footed tables in this new Tioga Steady Rollin edit! Trails are mixed in throughout so you get to enjoy some concrete roasting as well.
Head over to the QBMX site to check out Garrett Guilliams’ fresh new FBM. You better believe that thing is going to see a lot more roast than the average bike! There are a few photos mixed in with the bike check that will show you just what I mean.
This edit from Tioga came out nearly a year ago and definitely doesn’t deserve to be lost amongst the depths of the internet!
The Boondocks very well may be the most filmed trails this year and for good reason. The latest footage coming out of them is this video Jim Martinez put together of the FBM killing the place. I can’t wait to make it up there next season!
Not to be outdone by his little brother, Garrett also came through with an awesome part in “Thousand Yard Stare”. He chose to mix it up with some park and street mixed in amongst his footage from the woods, but hauled ass at whatever was in front of him. I don’t think there could have been a more fitting band than Manowar for his section. Via FBM
I laughed the other day when a kid told me that he had ordered up some Comp IIIs so he could come ride the trails. Well with videos like this I think it’s safe to say that Tioga is back in the game. Eric Hennessey, Adam Guilliams, Garrett Guilliams, John Skvarla, Pauly Cvikevich, Dave King, and Ekim King flow around the Northeast in this picturesque edit. On a side note, Matt Beringer once made fun of me for riding a mini ramp with Comp IIIs.
