My apologies for the delay! Maybe one day I’ll finally realize that I need to start the whole process of picking these out well before the end of the year rolls around. I thought I’d be able to hammer it out right at the beginning of January, but between traveling and being busy with a bunch of other stuff, I never had the time to fully devote to sitting down and giving this the attention it deserves. So, here we are, damn near the end of February and we’re just now taking a look back on what I thought were…
NR8productions’ series of “Trail Makeover” videos have pretty much set the standard to which all other digging videos should hope to achieve. I’m usually not even into digging vids, but I’ve grown to actually look forward to these coming out every year. Here’s five months of digging and two days of riding at the Gate 23 Trails condensed down into eight minutes of visual stimulus.
I’m pretty positive I’ve never posted a video with a country soundtrack before. Sandro Pages went full on twang with the song he picked to grace his latest edit. I was definitely hating on it at first but it somewhat grew on me by the end.
A quick look back in the tag history shows that the Gate 23 Trails haven’t made an appearance on the site in close to a year; it’s been since that epic digging video to be exact. I’m still amazed by how much damn carpet this place has! Seriously, Dyson should use it as a proving for their vacuums.
This is the digging video to end all digging videos! It’s not all digging, but the first six minutes of it are. Surprisingly I actually didn’t even mind. It’s filmed and edited incredibly well and in a way that keeps your attention. Wait till you see the trail hut these dudes construct! Damn thing is almost nicer than my house. After the digging is done and structures are built the very much well deserved sessions begin. You can also check out a write up on the spot and the video HERE.
Joey Gough had some friends in town and guess where she took them? If you said the trails, then you’re 100% correct my friend!
Joey Gough came through with this edit of the Gate 23 Trails. I haven’t seen trails with that much carpet since the old Florida carpet trails days! Where in the world did they get that much carpet, and is their dirt really that bad that they need it?
