The Friday the 13th weekend is looking to be a busy one filled with all sorts of stuff to get into. The annual Halloween Jams at Catty and Posh will be going on in PA, and down south in Richmond, Virginia FBM has a full weekend of activities planned. Starting on the night of Friday the 13th there will be a party at Wonderland with live bands. Saturday they’re having a vintage bike show and bring your own ramp jam at Powers Bike Shop that will feature the Ghetto King of Vert high air/best trick contest judged by none other…
Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past week! Let’s get back into the swing of things with FBM’s raw edit from The Battle of Gillies Creek. You’ve probably seen it already but I wanted to get it posted up anyway. It was nothing but good times down there, and the rain held off until late afternoon before flooding the place out. I already can’t wait till next year!
The rain held off for most of the day and the 3rd annual The Battle of Gillies Creek went down in Richmond this past weekend. It was rad to see all the new stuff they’ve been working on since becoming legal. The new pump track wasn’t quite running, but I’m sure it’s going to get a whole new wave of people stoked on trails when it gets going. Hats off to Kitt and the crew down there for kicking ass! Puck has some photos from the day over on Least Most that you can check out HERE.
Just a reminder that Richmond, Virginia is the place to be tomorrow for the third running of The Battle of Gillies Creek. See you there!
Richmond, VA is the place to be on Saturday May 27 because that’s where and when the 3rd annual Battle of Gillies Creek is going down! Hopefully the weather cooperates a bit more this year so that Kitt and the crew don’t have to kill themselves to get the place running in time for the jam. After seeing what they pulled off last year after the place was literally submerged underwater the day before, I think it would take something on the scale of a category five hurricane or volcanic eruption to keep them from having the place dialed and…
Despite getting damn near an inch of rain yesterday, FBM’s Battle of Gillies Creek is still a go for tomorrow. Kitt and the rest of the Gillies Crew set to work getting the place back into shape as soon as the rain stopped. Last year it rained up until about 12 hours before the jam and they managed to get things running, so there’s not a doubt in my mind that they’ll be able to pull it off again this year! See you there!
I love when I hit play on an edit and am greeted with a completely unexpected soundtrack, and I definitely approve of The Gap Band being in this one from Moto Scum! There’s a bit of everything in here; trails, a bit a street, a bit of racing, some motocross, and even some strippers. Basically it’s a whole lot of good times!
Listen up if you are or are going to be anywhere near Richmond, VA this afternoon! There’s a “visioning session” with the city from 5-6pm at Gillies Trails that is an opportunity for the public to discuss the future of the trails and what they would like to see out of them. With the trails recently becoming recognized and legal with the city of Richmond, the local chapter of MORE (The Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts) has become involved with them. There have been some rumblings that MORE’s vision for Gillies is different than the vision of the crew currently building and…
Your mom is going to have to settle for just a phone call this Mother’s Day because you’re going to be in Richmond at FBM’s Battle of Gillies Creek!
It’s crazy how a handful of BF photos can completely make your day! Crandall fired off a few shots of him while he was in Richmond a couple of weeks ago and you can check them out over on The Least Most. That scrub pic just became my new desktop photo!
