Just in case this weekend’s weather has got you down, here’s a little pick-me-up courtesy of the fine folks at Back Bone!
Hands down the gnarliest part in The Back Bone Video! Will Gunn’s section takes me back to the days of old when riders rode everything! You so very rarely see that these days, and you damn sure hardly ever see someone kill all terrains at the level that Will does. There’s a spattering of trails clips throughout, with a big chunk of them coming at the 02:28 mark. Do yourself a favor though and watch the whole thing!
What a pleasure it was to wake up this morning and the first thing that I see is that the crown jewel of The Backbone Video is finally online. Watch it, get stoked, tell your boss you can’t make it in today, and then go lay some tracks down somewhere!
I’d be lying if I said that I had any inclination that I’d be reviewing a trails DVD this year. With how easy it is these days to slap some footage together and throw it up on YouTube or Vimeo, I thought the days of DVDs were unfortunately behind us. Luckily our Belgium friends from the MX Trails decided not to go the easy route, and instead took the footage they’ve been gathering up for the past few years from their travels around the world and turned it into a proper full length trails DVD.
I’m so glad that someone suggested this for the flashback post this week because I had totally forgotten how good it was. The MX Trails crew logged some serious miles back in 2014 chasing grooves all over the world. They definitely left their mark on every spot they visited, especially Foerske spinning the shark fin at Catty. That’s still talked about to this day and probably will continue to be for years to come. MADNESS!
The woods of PA have been infested with international visitors for the better part of the last month or so. Dudes from Australia, Belgium, Holland, France, England, Brazil, and I’m sure a few countries I left out have all been passing through the trails Mecca that is Pennsylvania. This video I spotted over on Compression captures a good sampling of that international contingent as they enjoy the good trails, food and adult beverages native to the Keystone State.
This edit from Belgium’s MX Trails Crew definitely deserves a bump back up to the top!
Well this is fucking awesome! The MX Trails crew were once again on the move hitting up trails from Europe to America and back again. I’m bummed I didn’t get to ride with them this year, but at least they broke out the camera enough to get some rad footage to look at. That crash around the five minute mark is so gnarly!
Deluxe went and gave us a little Labor Day gift by putting all the Woodlanders edits together into one eleven and a half minute super edit. The wild ass flip that Mike Saavedra does in here still gets brought up by at least once a week by someone during conversations.
Vince’s new Compression edit definitely deserves another watch!
