This piece that Brendan Boeck put together on Back Bone and Terrible One’s Russell Brindley has kept me stoked all week!
I’m not exactly sure when it was that I first saw Russell Brindley ride. If I had to guess, I would say it was at one of those crazy contest that Red Bull did in Australia where they carved out a ravine into a course that was part trails and part park. I don’t remember the exact details of it, but what I do remember is that Russ absolutely killed the thing. Hell, he may have even won it! I’ve been a big fan of his ever since, and that said, I was beyond excited when I opened up an…
Jonny Mackellar’s latest shredit definitely deserves a bump back up to the top!
Jonny Mackellar has been steadily climbing up towards the top of my list of favorite riders to watch, and this edit of him ripping Hillfire and Snakewoods that Tama Lewis put together has done nothing but accelerate that climb!
I had no idea how much you guys liked this top 10 trails web edits thing until emails started pouring in over the last couple weeks asking if I was going to be doing it this year! Truth be told, I’ve been nibbling away at it since the beginning of the month but all the traveling that I’ve also been doing slowed things down a bit. It’s always a pretty tough job putting this list together, but this year was the toughest yet. After going back through 2015’s videos I ended up with a “short list” of a few dozen…
Something tells me that I’m not the only one who’s watched Jonny Mackellar’s Welcome to Back Bone edit multiple times already. For those of you who haven’t, I highly suggest giving it another watch or ten!
From the first time I saw him riding in one of James Fox’s Snakewoods edits, I was instantly a fan of Jonny Mackellar! I’m not surprised at all that Back Bone has gone ahead and added him to their prestigious roster. The best thing about that is that it means we should be seeing a lot more of him. Believe me, you’re definitely going to want to see more after you watch this!
For the fourth time riders from all over Australia came together to remember the legendary Dane Searls. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been four years. Dane had such a lasting impact on BMX that it seems like just yesterday that we were all still in awe over Giant’s of Dirt. Even with the wind not 100% cooperating at this year’s jam, everyone still had a blast celebrating the life and legacy of one of the baddest dudes to ever pick up a bike.
Tyson Jones-Peni is back with another episode in his vlog series. Nothing but trails with this one, with him and Rhysty putting the finishing touches on a new lip at Hillfire, some early morning laps, and some real world product testing of a new size of United’s Indirect tire.
Just because this is “extra” footage doesn’t mean that it didn’t deserve to be in The Back Bone Video in the first place. I don’t even know how some of this didn’t make the cut! Only two copies of the video left in the STORE. Who wants them?
