Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all aren’t too hungover from all the celebrating that was going on last night. Post are going to be a little slow for the next few days because the internet where I am is pretty spotty. I’ll be back up to speed next week and you can look forward to our annual roundup of the top ten trails web edits from the last year. All that said, here’s our first flashback post of 2016, and it’s a good one if I do say so myself! This coverage of the jams at Baker’s Acres…
It’s a travel day for me today so I’m going to throw up a couple of my favorite videos from the last couple of weeks before I take off. First up is this one of my friends in the Northwest getting one last session at The Don’s before winter closed them out. I can’t wait to ride that spot next year!
Consider yourself lucky if you live in a spot where you can ride all year long, because trail season is pretty much a wrap for the vast majority of us living in the Northern Hemisphere. John Donald and some of the NW crew recently closed out the year at his spot with this final session captured in the video above. I’m pretty interested to see how the place evolves over the winter now that they are back to shovels full time.
You are absolutely blowing it if you haven’t already watched Elliot Van Orman’s new film, “A Washington Summer” by now! Even if you have, it’s definitely worth another watch!
I was off the grid in the Shenandoah Valley yesterday so I’m a bit late to the party with posting this! Elliot Van Orman headed up to Washington last summer to visit his brother and spend some time checking out the scene up there. He documented the entire trip, and the result is this fifteen minute trails filled video. I love Elliot’s work because he does an amazing job of not only capturing the riding, but also the vibe around it.
Judas Priest and the woods of the Northwest sure do go well together! Throw a heavy crew of Northwest legends into the mix and you’ve got my favorite edit this week!
It’s been an abnormally good day for videos and I’m happy to keep it rolling with one from the lush forest of the Northwest. I’ve never seen this spot before, but damn does it look fun!
For some reason there’s been an awful lot of slow motion in videos this week. I figured I’d keep it going with today’s flashback post!
