I’m posting this because it’s the D-Man, but I’m definitely bummed that there were only a handful of trail clips right in the beginning. Come on Kink, give us the full length Doyle trails edit that we deserve!
They should probably go ahead and board up the windows and lock the doors because Chris officially shut down The Wheel Mill in this. Unbelievable!
Kink is a company that commands a lot of respect. Over the course of almost two decades it has grown from a small company producing axles and pegs into one of the biggest companies in bmx. Over the years they have put out a slew of legendary products such as the El Guapo pegs, the Freebird frame, the Jim Cielencki signature frame, and the list goes on and on. These days they produce a full line of bikes, frames, parts, and even clothing, and every year the line gets more and more dialed. A lot of thought goes into the…
This edit from Kink’s Southern France trails trip came out a year or so before CYDI was around. Had we been around at that time, this would have definitely been all over the site! Five minutes of Chris Doyle and Crazy Tom Dillon exploring the trails of Southern France, filmed and edited by Darryl Tocco. This is way too good to be lost to the bowels of the internet!
Damn, this almost slipped through the cracks! Here’s Mr. Doyle’s part from Kink’s “Squash It” DVD. I’m psyched to finally see it but I could have done without that crash at the beginning. Anyway, after the crash the first minute of this is nothing but classic Chris Doyle maneuvers in the woods.
Absolutely nothing to do with trails but I love how Kink thought out of the box with this trip. I’m really looking forward to seeing the video. I can’t help but think how funny it would have been if they were on that ship that broke down. I bet someone would have thrown Tony Hamlin overboard!
Chris is one classy dude, and Kink wanted to showcase that in his “Off The Clock” ad. After you get done watching the behind the scenes video above you’ll want to make your way over to Kink’s OTC site for some more content including a photo gallery, wallpaper and more.
Are brakes making a comeback? Did DC pulling out of BMX leave a hole in the stopping market that needed filling? I don’t really know the answer to either of those, but what I can tell you is that the choices of brakes available has been growing lately. Kink‘s Desist brakes are the newest ones to come onto the market, and just like all of Kink’s products they are well thought out and designed. They feature forged arms, a low stack height, Kool Stop pads, a two piece straddle cable to reduce drag, and unique straddle cable pivots to smooth…
Kink always puts a lot into their apparel and their spring 2013 line is no exception. Check out all their new gear in this lookbook that they put together.
Ben Hittle really isn’t known for his trails prowess, and maybe it’s because the woods haven’t been too kind to him. All four times I’ve ridden trails with him have resulted in hilarity. Twice because he nose cased something and went otb, once because Jake Dyke rear ended him mid air, and another time because a wild Jamaican dude nearly killed him with ghost ride gone wrong. Nonetheless he’s riding a prototype of Kink‘s new Mudrunner frame and Collateral has a bike check that gives us closer look. Diggin’ the head tube badge on that thing! Check out the rest of…
