Product: 2017 United KL40 Complete Bike

With the introduction of Kye Forte’s signature KF22 last month, I was wondering if the 20″ KL40 would still be a part of United’s line of completes. The release of United’s full 2017 complete range answered that question, and I’m happy that it’s yes. The KL40 is the perfect starter bike for someone looking to get into riding trails. While most completes these days are aimed at the streets, the KL40 is specced with a longer 21″ top tube, trails friendly geometry and United’s aggressive Indirect tyres. Even the two muted colorways it comes in are what you would expect…

Interview: Kye Forte on 22″ Bikes and His New Signature United KF22 Complete

The 22″ wheel, a lot of us had passed judgment before even seeing one, let alone riding one! I myself know that as soon as I heard of this new stead making a name for itself in our little sport, I had visions of 40 year old men having a midlife crisis riding around the woods on cruiser like machines doing hip hangers and turn bars, but after actually seeing one and riding one, I can personally vouch for their awesomeness. Below is a little Q&A I did with Kye Forte, the man behind United’s new 22″ K22 complete which…

Flashback: DC Shoes UK Team – Pennsylvania Trails Trip

Remember when DC Shoes had a BMX team, and even a UK BMX team that was full of trail dudes? How about when they sent those trail dudes on the UK team to Pennsylvania for a trails trip? And what about when they made an edit from the trip and set it to a song from Electric Light Orchestra?

Green Acres Trail Jam

I was saying just yesterday that I couldn’t wait to see a video from Kye Forte’s Green Acres Trail Jam. Ask and you shall receive because waiting for me in my inbox this morning was this edit from David Guest. The jam looked like an absolute blast! I mean how can you go wrong with beer, bands, and oh yeah… trails. How sick does that concrete berm look!?

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015

Exotic cars and dirt jumping aren’t two things that I would think go together, but the Goodwood Festival of Speed somehow manages to successfully combine the two into one weekend of awesomeness. Ride UK put together this quick edit of some of the action going down on the dirt course; which I have to say looks pretty damn fun.

Product: 2016 United KL40 Complete Bike

United has you covered if you have a buddy who’s looking to get into riding trails or one who is looking to get back into it and needs a bike. For 2016 Kye and Leo Forte’s signature KL40 line has been streamlined down to just one model that’s available in three different colors, trans teal, gloss black, and trans purple. While most completes generally have shorter top tube lengths, the KL40’s is a generous 21″, making it perfect for roasting some dubs. It’s also spec’d out with taller 8.5″ rise bars and United’s dirt gripping InDirect front tire. At just…

Product: United – 2015 KL40 Complete Bikes

I got an email the other day from a guy asking for some suggestions as to what would be a good complete bike to buy for someone looking to get into riding trails. Seeing as the complete bike market is not one I keep up with at all, I had to sit down and take some time to look at what was out there before I could get back to him. I can’t say that I was all too surprised to find that the majority of the completes out there had geometry more geared towards riding street. Even BF’s signature…
