Bobby Valentine put out this eleven minute teaser to get your mouths salivating for the Fall 2021 release of Welcome to Pittsburgh 69. Looks like Pittsburgh is trying to take home all of the NORA Cups next year!
The Trail Rider of the Year category for NORA Cup will always be near and dear to my heart, and something that puts a smile on my face. A smile not only because I’m stoked that the category now exist, but also because it makes me laugh thinking back to the conference call I was on in order to make it happen. I’ll just say this, we were dangerously close to being lumped into the Transition Rider of the Year category! Having to explain how someone like these fine gentlemen nominated for the award this year differ from let’s say a Kyle Baldock or Daniel Sandoval always makes me chuckle. Anyway, good luck to this year’s nominees! Every single one of you dudes deserve the cup!
I can’t even believe that this edit is six years old already! Time sure does fly, luckily Mark’s riding is timeless. Shot and cut by Tom Arkus for Deluxe.
Ask and you shall receive! Just yesterday I was thinking to myself, “I wonder what’s going on with Deluxe?”, and then what do I come across this morning during my daily perusing of the internet? This rad promo that Ty Stuy produced for them is what! It’s taken a little bit for them to get things dialed in and running, but I’m glad they’ve taken that time to do it they way that they have. Having Deluxe frames being made in the US is awesome, but having their frames being made by THEM in the motherland of trails that is Pennsylvania, that’s just icing on the cake! I can’t wait to see people ripping on these this season!
After a year hiatus the Potoczny boys once again opened up their parent’s yard for one of their infamous Welcome Jams. Things were kept a lot more low key this year though. Judging by this edit from Justin Kendle, it still looks like it was a damn good time. Even minus the people falling in fire and getting knocked out by glowing cubes!
Red Bull is once again bringing Berm Burners back to the Dominion Riverrock Festival in Richmond, Virginia. May 21st and 22nd are the dates, with the pro race going down the first day, and the am race the second. Registration is open now, and you can get signed up and get all the details and schedule info HERE. And oh yeah, Steve Crandall and Mark Potoczny will be handling the mic duties this year. Be prepared to be heckled relentlessly!
Taking it back about eight years or so to the After Dark Trail Jam that Square One threw at the Potoczny Compound with the help of Red Bull. Who thinks that the next Welcome Jam should have lights so that the riding can go on into the night? It would probably be a drunken debacle, but it damn sure would be entertaining!
X Games brings us this look at the spots Chris Doyle frequents when he’s home and not out clicking those signature 360 turndowns somewhere else in the world. He gets things rolling with a Monroeville session, escapes the rain at The Wheel Mill, and finishes things off at Boyce. I don’t know if it was my aging Macbook or just the usual Comcast fuckery, but the ESPN player was super buggy for me. I seriously felt like I was watching a Max Headroom rerun or something. Hopefully it will work a bit better for you! It also seems to not be showing on the homepage. Click into the post and you’ll be all good. Why god, why can’t people just stick to the tried and true Vimeo and Youtube players?
I can’t even believe Clint Reynolds got burned by the berm at the Pittsburgh stop of Red Bull’s Berm Burners. Try saying that five times fast! I also got to take a second to call out Mark Potoczny out for trying to jump the gate! That easily could have been another OTB right there! Good to see him back on his bike though! Spotted on PSBMX
I was starting to think that Mark Potoczny must have lost his GoPro or something! Glad to see that’s not the case and that he’s back with another POV. North Carolina’s GMG Trails get the Mark Potoczny point of view this time with two runs tailing his brother Mike and Corey Zell.
