Belton, Sheet, Shrewsbury, La Source, Aliano’s, Leatherhead, Lost; Mark Taylor certainly got around in 2017! His camera kicked the bucket at Lost so there’s no footage from there, but you can take a ride with him through all the other sets of trails in this season end edit.
With them playing host to the first stop of the UK BMX Dirt Series, Jason Aliano’s Trails had a lot of eyes on them earlier this year. I can only imagine the amount of pressure that put on the locals to get the place running and looking its best. This edit from Mark Taylor gives us a look into the scene after the contest had come and gone, and the locals had the place all to themselves and were able to reap the benefits of all that hard work they put in.
With the first round of the UK BMX Dirt Series only being about a month and a half off, the builders are busy getting things dialed in at the host trails. Event organizer Craig Teague drops by the site of the first round, Jason Aliano’s trails to check on the progress and take you through the lines, both existing and planned. There’s also some quick interviews with the builders and a little riding as well. And I can’t not mention the shovel fit for a giant that they make for Jack Griffin!
Mark Taylor tipped me off to this video that his buddy Mike Calvey made from last year’s shenanigans at Pumpy, the Bitch Trails and a couple of other spots. It put a smile on my face and I think that’s something we could all use today.
I love when Mark Taylor puts out edits because they always have such a different style to them! This latest one is a mix of phone and POV clips that have been perfectly blended together for your viewing pleasure.
Join our buddy Mark Taylor as he takes us through a couple of lines at the Pumpy Trails. How fun does that place look? I just hope we start seeing more of it in the future!
Mark Taylor takes his own and advice and gets sideways in the woods and a few parks in this new edit that he made with the 8mm app. It’s crazy just what you can do with phones these days!
Ride UK just posted up a gallery that gives you a closer look at Mark Taylor’s sweet new Ted James built ride. You may remember it from such behind the scenes videos as “You Dream It, Ted Builds It” and “Ted James: I’m bringing British Back.” Seriously though, Mark’s bike is rad and you can check out the specs and some close up photos of it over on the Ride UK site.
I have a deep appreciation for custom frame building. The last few frames I’ve had have been customs, and there’s just something so rad about having a frame built exactly how you want it. I somehow stumbled across Ted James Design on Instagram a while back and have been drooling over his work ever since. The latest frame that he did for Mark Taylor really got the salivary glands working. Wouldn’t you know it a few days later I get a message from Mark saying that he had put together a video of Ted building the frame. He did and incredible job of capturing Ted’s passion and the work that he puts into the frames he builds. Now I just have to figure out how to get one for myself!
