I’m often left shaking my head at how soft most kids are these days. It seems like the majority of them solely rely on the digital world for entertainment, validation, and their overall happiness. The Halahan kids on the other hand, they give me a small glimmer of hope that this next generation won’t be completely comprised of useless digital device zombies. Stoked to see that post FBM they’ve found a home with the good folks at S&M!
If you’re looking for a quality US made frame and fork for your little one then look no further than FBM’s new Hala-FAST frames. Originally custom creatings for Halahan brothers, these scaled down Steadfast frames and CB4K’s are now available for anyone looking for a kickass 18″ or 20″ wheel frame and fork for their youngster… or if you’re Dunny, you’ll probably get one for yourself. Pre-orders for them are open through October and they are expected to ship early December. Just in time for Christmas! Specs after the jump.
This totally wasn’t planned but it looks like we’re going straight from the OG generation of the Pittsburgh trails scene straight into the youngest! It’s been awesome watching the Halahans grow over the years into the rippers that they are today. I’m stoked that Mike (their dad) has been keeping them on the right track by instilling in them that it’s not just all about riding, but also about putting in work to dig and create their own trails. 9 Acres is what their calling the spot they’ve built, and Geo Jenkins put together this edit for FBM of the…
I’m always stoked to see a new edit from the Halahans! This latest one has them doing their thing out at Whistler’s River Dirt Jumps for their sponsor, Spank. That giant flip from Nathan definitely caught me off guard!
FBM just dropped this new edit featuring my favorite little shredders, the Halahans, more specifically Nathan and Lukas Halahan. It’s been a blast watching these guys grow and progress over the last few years. Mike has a done damn fine job not only grooming these guys into little shredders, but also making sure that they have their heads on straight and contribute to the scene!
Two of my favorite little shredders riding some Cali trails that I seen before. Yes, despite the Seattle Trails name they are indeed in California. They do look like something you would see further up in the Northwest though.
This Diamondback edit seriously makes my day! Lukas and Nathan Halahan KILLING JP’s trails on their little bikes. Think about the scale of things for a second. Them hitting those jumps would be like us hitting stuff that was 10 or twelve feet tall! Nuts!
Ok I know it’s the middle of summer and riding inside is probably the last thing on your mind, but this is rad! The Wheel Mill has a new video series titled “My Favorite Line” where one of the locals takes you through their favorite line at the park. Nathan Halahan is up this week, and if you haven’t seen this little dude ride yet then you’ve been seriously missing out! Check him out getting it through the Woods Jump Room!
The Halahan brothers rip, as is pretty evident in this new edit for Diamondback. There’s no trails in here but we do get to see some of the first video footage to come out of The Wheel Mill‘s jump room. It crazy to think how big those boxes must be to these dudes! It doesn’t seem to faze them at all because they absolutely kill them in here.
It’s rough being a trails rider on the East Coast when winter rolls in. A lot of digging gets done when the ground isn’t frozen solid, but riding definitely takes a hit. The Wheel Mill is the latest park to undertake the challenge of giving trails riders a place to ride during the winter, and they brought in a handful of Pittsburgh’s best riders to get it done. I’ve been getting more and more excited as I’ve watched the building progress. The park isn’t open quite yet but the builders have been able to sample the fruits of their labor….
