NORA Cup 2020 Trail Rider of the Year Nominees

The Trail Rider of the Year category for NORA Cup will always be near and dear to my heart, and something that puts a smile on my face. A smile not only because I’m stoked that the category now exist, but also because it makes me laugh thinking back to the conference call I was on in order to make it happen. I’ll just say this, we were dangerously close to being lumped into the Transition Rider of the Year category! Having to explain how someone like these fine gentlemen nominated for the award this year differ from let’s say a Kyle Baldock or Daniel Sandoval always makes me chuckle. Anyway, good luck to this year’s nominees! Every single one of you dudes deserve the cup!

NORA Cup “Trail Rider Of The Year” Award!

Well friends, I couldn’t be any happier to tell you that Ride BMX has decided to add “Trail Rider of the Year” to the list of awards they give out at this year’s NORA Cup! Gone is the previous award for “Dirt Jumper of the Year” that for the most part catered to contest dudes, except for when Clint Reynolds won it in 2015. This new award takes into account a rider’s contribution to the trails scene just as much as it does their riding. In other words, the person who wins this will be someone who puts as much, if not more time in with a shovel as they do actually riding their bike. I’m absolutely thrilled that Ride stepped up and created this new award that will acknowledge someone kicking ass in the trails community. It’s about damn time!

Clint Wins NORA!

According to my IG feed Clint Reynolds took home the NORA Cup for dirt last night! I couldn’t be more stoked for him; I’m just bummed that I skipped out on Interbike this year and didn’t get to see it with my own eyes!

NORA Cup Nominees

Ride just released the top five nominees for the NORA cup categories, and I have to say that I’m stoked on all of the dudes in the running for #1 Dirt Jumper. Brian Foster, Chris Doyle, Mark Mulville, Mike Clark, and TJ Ellis make up the top five this year. I really doubt it would be too hard for you to figure out who I’d like to see win! Also exciting is that the Blue Falcon is up for video part of the year for BF-it and that BF-it is very rightfully nominated for video of the year!
