And here we have the Urkatu section from Compression’s Septembre DVD. Coming across this today is what tipped me off that I had missed the previous section. Anyway, it always tripped me out that they had a full on legitimate resi landing at Urkatu! Don’t think I’m hatin’, I would stunt the hell out of that thing!
Oops! I almost let this first section from Compression’s Septembre DVD get past me! This is day one of the trip and the 20+ man crew gets things rolling at Le Domaine Des Culs Terreux. I hate to say it, but I totally forgot how good this was!
I don’t think there’s a single person who visits this site that will argue with the fact that Deluxe won the internet this week. I’ve always been really stoked on what the brand is about, and I’m glad to see the ethos that Mark Noble created still lives on in Deluxe’s current ownership. For this week’s flashback I wanted to revisit the early days of the brand, more specifically their first full length video release, 2010’s “Welcome to Deluxe”!
I’m absolutely loving all the good edits that have been coming out recently! I’m also loving how so many of them have had a good mix of spots in them. I don’t know the names of all of them in here but I did recognize Vinewood. There’s no way that I can’t not mention something about that hail mary 360 attempt 01:44. That shit was looking good until it stopped spinning at 180°!
Pompom has some rad photos of people getting down on French soil that I highly suggest you check out! You can peep them over on Deluxe.
This is a little different than your average jam video. Rain cut the riding short so there wasn’t a lot of footage of that. Rather it’s mostly behind the scenes footage of everyone making the best of the situation. Usually that would make for an edit that I wouldn’t really be into but this actually came out pretty good.
Maybe it’s because it’s been awhile since I’ve seen Deluxe’s “Part Deux” but I totally forgot how many awesome French spots they hit up. The latest section from the video to be release is the part from La Source, and it’s a good one. I don’t know what it is about La Source but whenever I see stuff from there it always has really cool vibe to it.
From the moment I saw the first trailer for Compression’s “Septembre” DVD I knew something special was in the works. This may shock, amaze, or just plain disgust you, but I’m not really that into full length trails videos. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some awesome ones that have come out, but there’s also been quite a few that have turned out to be pretty boring and repetitive. I’m really happy that “Septembre” ended up being in the awesome category.
The new Compression “Septembre” DVD has finally made it’s way across the Atlantic and is now available exclusively in the US through the CYDI Store. I’m not trying to get all used car salesman on you, but you NEED this DVD! Imagine 35 minutes of twenty of the best trail riders in the world riding some of the best trails France has to offer. That’s what “Septembre” is, plus another whole hour of bonus footage! We’ll be dropping a full review along with another trailer later this week, but for now just take my word for it that this DVD is awesome! Even more awesome is the fact that Compression will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each DVD to Catty Woods. Get a rad DVD and simultaneously help keep one of the best trail spots in the world going! Can’t go wrong there! You can check out the DVD cover art and a list of where to get it in other countries after the jump.
