Robbie Miranda Has Lost His Damn Mind!

I saw last week that Robbie Miranda had been playing around on the Mega Ramp with Barry Nobles, but I had no idea this is what would come of it. There was never a question in my mind as to whether or not Robbie still had the skills to actually jump the damn thing, but to jump it in his police gear and on a fully accessorized police bike… that’s brave to say the least! I seriously can’t even believe that the thing didn’t come to pieces upon landing.

Three Years of Can You Dig It!

Today marks three years since I sat down and typed out THIS first post here on Can You Dig It. 3365 post later, here we are. On one hand it seems like it was ages ago, but on the other it seems like time has gone by in a flash. I’m not going to lie, it’s been tough keeping things going this last year. Can You Dig It has always been a labor of love and in no way a profitable venture. It’s always been something that I did before and after work, and between life’s other responsibilities. I love…

1998 Joetsu Japan King of Dirt

Robbie Miranda posted this gem on his Facebook and there was no way I wasn’t going to put it on here. Look how sketchy this setup is! Plywood everywhere, enough space between the jumps for two full cranks (both of which seem mandatory), and lime on the landing for a little extra burn if you fall. Highlights are Robbie Morales performing one hell of a pencil/still being “The Trail Boss,” Taj stomping out the fire, and Matt Beringer front flipping way before every prepubescent 13 year old could do them. This shit is gold!

This is Doo Doo Baby!

When I woke up this morning this is what was all over my Facebook. Lake Ridge is a suburb of D.C. that’s located about 25 miles south of the city. BMX actually has a pretty rich history in Lake Ridge as that’s where both incarnations of the Capital Trails were located. Riders from all over the country used to converge there to ride the trails that Robbie Miranda and the crew of riders coming up under him built. Check out my very first post if you want to know more about it. Anyway, Capital has been gone for well over…

Boozer Jam POV

Robbie Miranda strapped on a GoPro for some laps during yesterdays Boozer Jam. Sheep looks as terrible as ever but that didn’t deter a shit load of people from coming out to support Boozer.

Vans Triple Crown Mountain High

Now this is racing! I got really excited when I saw that Robbie Miranda had uploaded this. This particular race didn’t treat him so well, but you have to give him tons of respect for being THE GUY to beat in these downhill bmx events.

Numero Uno

I spotted this on Groove Merchants awhile ago and it really took me back.  I can’t think of a more fitting first post then one about the place that really started it all for me.  I can still vividly remember the feeling I got the first time I walked up the hill from the parking lot and laid eyes on this place. Sure I’d been riding for quite awhile before then and had even built what I thought were trails behind my grandparents house.  This was something so different though it may as well have been another planet.  A giant…
