Cool piece that Long Nguyen put together giving us a look at the past, present and future of Ryan Nyquist’s riding; and who better to tell you about it than Ryan himself? It’s seriously unbelievable how long he’s been not just in the game, but at the top of it. I think a lot of people had mixed feelings when Ryan decided to start riding and competing on big bikes, but I think this will silence even the saltiest of haters. Dude is having fun pushing himself in a new discipline, and oh yeah, he’s still killing it on the…
GetaBMX’s Milan Recknagel sure did do his fair share of getting around last year, as this 2015 highlights edit more than proves! Definitely not a bad way to get the week started, and it’s also a pretty good source of inspiration for laying out some solid traveling plans for 2016.
Pics of Ryan Nyquist riding a big bike have been popping up on his Instagram lately and now I know why. He’s planning on competing in both BMX and MTB contest this year. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty interested to see what he brings to the MTB contest world. Mainly how many barspins he can fit in on the bigger jumps! I’m going to go ahead and set a goal of eight for him!
I don’t know how I feel about the banger in this Haro edit being done into a mulch landing, but I’ll leave it to Salty Pistachio (If he’s still alive) and Rodeo Peanut to go in on that. As much as I’m not really into watching tricks these days, I have a ton of respect for Ryan Nyquist and how long he has been at the top of his game. Seriously, the dude has been winning dirt contest for two decades and doesn’t seem to be slowing down one bit. I can’t help but think how much fun it would…
This week we said goodbye to the legendary Aptos Post Office Jumps. Though one chapter has closed, you can help the locals begin a new one by taking a second to sign the PETITION they have set up to get a new spot going. This edit from GetaBMX was a perfect send off to a spot that will be missed by riders all over the world.
On Tuesday the hammer fell on the Aptos Post Office Jumps. Riders from all over the world have been making pilgrimages there over the last few weeks to pay their respects and get in a final session at the legendary spot. Milan Recknagel from GetaBMX was one of those riders, and he put together the most perfect farewell edit possible. I mean seriously, could you have picked a better song than Free Bird? He also shot some photos that you can check out HERE. I just hope he put his cameras down long enough to actually ride!
Not sure who the hell picked these cause I only agree with one of them in there. You’re seriously going to tell me that Nyquist’s alley-oop truck out of the shark fin didn’t make it into the top 5? Or what about Dennis Enarson 450ing the damn thing? I can without a doubt say that the person who made this list definitely had a mama who was on the crack rock before she had them.
The latest episode of Raditudes finds the crew in Peynier for Vans Kill the Line. Nyquist learns a very important lesson in this episode. Never bet against Chris Doyle! At least not when it comes to smoothly making it through a line first go.
Remember when BF did that 360 tree bonk at Catty in Fitlife? Well, Nyquist went and one-upped him at Kill the Line by throwing the bars. Cheeky bastard! You can get another look at it after the jump.
My Instagram feed has been blown up with all the wild things going down at Vans Kill the Line. The official edit is without a doubt going to be off the hook. It’s still going to be a bit until we get that, but here’s an edit from the qualifiers to hold you over until then.
