Man, I forgot how much shady ass shit went down in this classic video from Base Brooklyn! They did call it “The Shady Bunch” though. My favorite has to be the 7-11 locals ruthlessly and repeatedly throwing a small child down into the mud. I’d love to know the story behind that one! Aside from all the mischief in here, there’s an absolute ton of trails riding from legendary spots like 7-11, Oak Park, Hooligans and more.
Lots of Long Island trails goodness in this promo for Nick Razzano’s Loose Change video! The video will be out around the New Year, and he plans on filming for it until the “frost hits.” Can’t wait to see it!
Keith Terra has a piece up on DIG discussing whether or not a broken planet (pertaining to the seasons) makes for better trails. Without jacking their piece and going off on my own tangent about it, I’ll register my two cents with a simple “No.” Head on over to DIG for Terra’s take on the subject, as well as some damn fine pictures from a mid-December session at Keyko.
Zak Earley’s windowless shade van headed off to Long Island in pursuit of good times and dialed trails. They hit some skateparks first but jump to 02:53 to skip all that and get right to the hair metal fueled L.I. trails section. Terra, K, and Supes even make some appearances in it! This has me itching to get back up to The Island asap. Maybe I’ll even finally make it out to Panamoka.
Well this a treat! Nine minutes of classic footage from the 7-11 Trails. I’ve always regretted that I never got to ride there. They were definitely ahead of their time and had an amazing crew of locals. Here are some key points from this video. -Trains! -Punjab has been ruled for a long time -Van’s bike sounds like a bag of nails -The world needs more Ronnie Gaska footage -Some of those sections are tight as hell -Where’s Robbo?
