Matt Van Acker hit me up to let me know that the annual jam at The Garden Dirt Jumps in Chicago is going down from 11am till dark this coming Sunday (9/13). Fingers crossed that the weather cooperates with them a little better this year than it did in 2014! Full flyer after the jump.
Matt Van Acker came through with this video featuring some action that went down in the woods of Chicago last year. The world definitely needs more Quaggy footage!
Matt Slager made a choice that I make probably far too often and skipped work to take advantage of some perfect riding weather at The Garden. Hell, I’m fighting the urge right now!
The weather hasn’t wanted to cooperate with The Garden‘s Summer Dirt Jam. They’re going to give it a try for third and hopefully final time this Saturday the 13th. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for them!
The Garden‘s Summer Dirt Jam got rained out last weekend so they are going to give it another go on September 6th. Fingers crossed the weather works out for them this time.
WTTW Public Television in Chicago recently did a spot on The Garden that turned out really good. Usually these things end up being kind of hokey but they did a good job telling the story of the spot. I had no idea that the land the trails are on used to be home to an Amusement Park. I wonder if they ever dig up some weird stuff from that bygone era? Give it a watch and don’t forget that The Garden’s Summer Dirt Jam is going down on the 30th.
In just a couple weeks The Garden in Chicago will be hosting another one of their jams. Last year’s looked like a hell of a good time and I would expect nothing less this year. August 30th is the day and things will get rolling right at 10am. There’ll be food, raffles, and a time trial race on the pumptrack, so come on out and join in on the festivities. Check out the video from last year’s jam after the jump.
Here’s the video from the jam that they had at The Garden back in August. Way stoked on the dude rocking the CYDI sticker on his helmet!
The Garden is having their annual jam/fundraiser/raffle on August 17th, so if you’re in the Chicago area around that time you should make it a point to head over for some good times!
