Mutiny just posted a cool interview with Villij’s reining emperor, Robbo. The questions are kind of geared toward educating the non-trails folk as to the way of the woods, but it’s still a good read though. Hit up the Mutiny site and check it out.
Issue 15 of The Albion is online and loaded up with trails goodness. In it you’ll find the rad piece above on Villij, Epsom, and Brighouse titled “Eternal Optimist.” It’s a damn fine read with photos to match. There’s also an interview with United’s young ripper Freddie Househam that you can check out after the jump.
It’s kind of slow today so I figured I’d throw up a pre-CYDI classic to bridge the gap. It really doesn’t get much better than seeing Robbo riding his home turf of Villij!
I’ll gladly take 53 seconds of iPhone clips from Villij!
The Albion just put up a gallery featuring highlights and outtakes from their “Eternal Optimists” article on Epsom, Brighouse, and Villij that ran in issue 14. Every single photo in there will make you absolutely despise that it’s winter right now. Check it out!
Lately I’ve been trying to hunt down pictures of Robbo’s new Villij frame from Mutiny that will be landing at shops any day now. I haven’t been all that successful with finding too many pics but my search did get me to thinking about this edit of Robbo and Mat Roe killing Villij. I can’t even believe it’s been three years since this came out!
I’m stoked whenever there are trails on the cover of a magazine these days! This shot of Matt Roe that graces the cover of the latest issue of Ride UK is particularly rad. These words by the dude who shot it aren’t bad either. It’s finally time for this. I mean it’s time for long summer days on our bikes, it’s time to fly through the woods on a warm evening with friends and it’s time to do big old kickouts over enormous hip lines. Consequently, it’s time for me to climb a tree and it’s time for Matt Roe to be…
Deluxe continues to roll out the sections from “Part Deux.” Frog is up this week, and his section from Villij has kind of an old school video vibe to it.
Here’s another gem that definitely doesn’t deserve to be forgotten about. There was a lot of buzz about this edit when it came out back in November, and rightfully so. Rich Forne documenting Robbo riding Villij, there’s pretty much no way that this couldn’t have turned out great!
Mutiny posted up this photo by Ciaran Clarke of Robbo getting in one of the first runs at Villij this season. It appears that they’re in the same boat that a lot of us are in this year as far as things getting off to a late start. Better late than never though!
