I’ve always been a huge fan of the hands on approach Sam takes with Tree. I think it really helps set their products apart from a market flooded with cloned parts that could easily be described as “same shit different color”. While most companies choose to just add their logo to an existing pivotal seat design, Tree has gone a completely different route and sculpted something new. I have to admit that when I first heard about the Ergo Seat I was a bit skeptical. Though we’ve been seeing a little more seatpost poking out of people’s bikes these days they are still far too low to comfortably sit on. Then it hit me! Even though it’s probably been a decade since I could actually sit on my seat and pedal my bike it does get plenty of use while I’m posted up between runs. In this video Sam lets you see a little bit of the process he took in creating the “Fat” version of Tree’s already posterior friendly Ergo Seat.
